Register as a Catholic School Supporter
By ensuring you are a registered separate school supporter:
- you are able to vote for Catholic school board trustees鈥
- you are ensuring that your municipalities property assessment base is up-to-date, which is a public record of support for Catholic schools
Separate school support is an important step when registering at the 91pro视频 at both the elementary and secondary school levels. Roman Catholic and Eastern Rite parents are encouraged to 鈥媎eclare their support for Catholic schools.
When you declare your support for the Catholic school board through your property taxes, you are protecting and preserving Catholic education in Ontario鈥, by helping to further confirm that the publicly funded Catholic school system is strongly wanted and needed.
School Support Designation
As a property owner in Ontario, you are required to support a school board, even if you do not have children or your children are not currently attending school. By default, your school support is directed to your municipality鈥檚 English Public School 91pro视频.
In the case of a residential property occupied by tenants, they can direct the school support for that property.
Property owners, occupants, and tenants can select which school board they choose to support. Additionally, you will be able to vote in the next municipal election for trustees for the school board that you choose to support.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is legislatively required to collect school support information and provide it in the assessment roll to every municipality and school board.
Changing your school support online

If you are unable to access the portal, MPAC also accepts paper applications for school support change requests. For more information, please see 鈥溾 or call MPAC to register as a user, which may take up to 24 hours until you are registered within their systems.
Alternative method 鈥 changing your school support
To change the school board designation that MPAC have on file for you in person, please follow these steps:
- You must complete an Application for Direction of School Support form, .
- Send MPAC MPAC聽your聽completed聽Application for Direction of School Support聽form聽using .
- MPAC will process the change to your school support designation upon receipt. If an email address is provided, you will receive an email confirmation.
