91pro视频 (HCDSB) is proud to announce that Sonia Ellison, Online Learning Administrator at HCDSB, has been named this year鈥檚 recipient of the (OeLC) Supporting 91pro视频s and Students in eLearning Award.
The OeLC is made up of over 50 school boards across Ontario that work together to enhance online learning by sharing resources, best practices, and innovative approaches. Each year, the consortium recognizes educators who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to advancing online learning opportunities for students across the province.
Sonia was presented with the award during the OeLC EmpowerED Summit in Ottawa on May 6, 2026.
“Congratulations to Sonia on this incredible achievement,” said Em Del Sordo, Superintendent of Education, Student Success. “We have witnessed the positive impact Sonia has made on our online learning program, and her commitment to elevating student voices while supporting teachers through professional learning reflects why she is so deserving of this recognition.”
Sonia鈥檚 contributions to online learning extend beyond HCDSB. She has worked with (CVO) to support the development of new Catholic online learning resources and content. For the past 25 years, she has also collaborated with Technology Enabled Learning Ontario (TELO), working with fellow Ontario educators to identify how school boards can address emerging technologies and approach them through a Catholic lens.
HCDSB proudly congratulates Sonia on this incredible honour and celebrates her continued efforts in creating innovative and engaging online learning opportunities for students and educators alike.
