It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking and unexpected news of the passing of Nancy Dinolfo, Superintendent of School Services for the 91proÊÓƵ.

For more than 30 years, Nancy faithfully served HCDSB as a teacher, Vice-Principal, Principal, and Superintendent of Education. Throughout her distinguished career, she touched countless lives through her unwavering commitment to Catholic education, her dedication to students and families, and her deep care for those she served.

Nancy was a respected leader, mentor, and colleague whose influence extended far beyond the schools she supported. She was known for her compassion, wisdom, and ability to make people feel valued and supported. Whether working alongside staff, celebrating student achievements, engaging with families, or supporting school communities, Nancy led with humility, grace, and a genuine love for others.

As a member of our senior leadership team, Nancy played an important role in shaping and strengthening our Catholic school system. Her leadership helped foster learning environments where students could thrive academically, spiritually, and personally. Her legacy will live on in the many schools, communities, and individuals she inspired throughout her career.

Nancy’s passing is a tremendous loss for our HCDSB community and for the broader Catholic education community. While we mourn her loss, we also give thanks for the gift of her life, her faithful service, and the lasting impact she had on generations of students, staff, families, and colleagues.

As a symbol of our collective grief, flags at all HCDSB schools and the Catholic Education Centre have been lowered to half-mast.

We ask our HCDSB community to keep Nancy, her family, friends, colleagues, and all who mourn her passing in your prayers.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

May Nancy rest in the eternal peace of Christ.
